How can I post a job opening?
You have several options for posting positions to attract talented Michigan students. If you have specific criteria, you may post your job through the schools/colleges recruiting system(s) most closely related to the specific disciplines you are seeking. If you are interested in attracting a wide range of students, you may post through the University Career Center’s Handshake system. Posting in multiple systems, on this decentralized campus, may net the greatest results.
Do I need to have different accounts to post at the different schools/colleges at the University of Michigan?
As a relatively decentralized campus many of the career offices maintain their own specialized online recruiting systems. These systems are tailored to their student populations, and have been developed to assist employers who wish to hire from targeted talent pools. You will need to establish separate accounts for each system in which you wish to post. If there are individual schools/colleges that meet your specific hiring needs having multiple accounts will give you direct access to the U of M talent in those applicant pools.
Who do I contact for recruiting University of Michigan alumni?
The Alumni Association of the University of Michigan works with employers interested in recruiting U-M alumni talent, and has a specific focus in experienced alumni hiring regardless of industry or field. There are several ways employers can partner with the Alumni Association to find and hire U-M alumni, as well as, to increase brand presence among U-M alumni. More information can be found here. Where can I find information regarding upcoming career fairs and other recruiting events?
The University Career Center hosts career fairs open to all students, in addition to the schools/colleges that also sponsor fairs specific to their student population.
